The Domsjö development area has emerged as the hub for a cluster of companies working in different parts of the process industry. SEKAB is one of these companies. Processum comprises SEKAB together with other stakeholders in the chemicals sector, the municipality and the county administrative board. Processum is also known as the Future Biorefinery.

The main areas of work are research coordination, business development and marketing. Processum’s idea is to develop new products in a biorefinery concept. Cooperation takes place in projects and through regional presence as an industrial party.

Processum has been created to help members work together to achieve greater impact and synergies from their operations. One of Processum’s tasks is to develop existing businesses and promote the establishment of new companies focused on process chemistry, process engineering and process control.

They share the common desire to preserve and refine the vast renewable natural resource the forest provides. Through innovative solutions Processum’s members contribute to sustainable development and a greener society.
