SEKAB delivers ethanol admixture for petrol. Mixing small amounts of ethanol into petrol is a fast and effective way of limiting, to some extent, the environ-mental impact of traffic.
Currently all petrol sold in Sweden contains five percent ethanol, but according to new EU regulations, the permissible content in petrol is ten percent. It is not considered that an admixture of ethanol of up to ten percent affects the engine and it is accepted by most car manufacturers.
Today, however, Swedish tax regulations are such that it is not profitable to increase the admixture to ten percent.
