We have good transportation conditions with long experience of transport by sea, road and rail. From Örnsköldsvik, we conduct both large-scale imports and exports, both by land and by sea.
Rail transport is one of the most climate-friendly methods of transporting goods. Directly from our facility, we continuously load railway wagons that then go out into Sweden and Europe. Some of our products can only be transported by rail due to special requirements regarding a protective atmosphere in the fuel storage tanks.
Sekab has access to two ports – the port of Alfredshem which is directly adjacent to the production facility, and also a deep harbour in Järved on the other side of the bay. Thanks to its great depth, this port can be called at by heavy ocean-going cargo ships to load and unload raw materials and products. Shipping traffic calls and sails irrespective of ice conditions.
Sekab’s road transport logistics functions well. We are flexible and can deliver according to our customers’ requirements.
Sekab’s storage capacity for raw materials and finished products in Örnsköldsvik amounts to 70,000 cubic metres.
