Transparency means more than sharing results. It means providing independently verified Product Carbon Footprints, explaining how they are calculated and giving customers access to the underlying data.
Here you can explore our product-specific climate data, supporting documentation and insights from the experts behind the work.
Understanding climate data is just as important as publishing it.
Explore articles from our specialists explaining how Product Carbon Footprints are calculated, why feedstock matters and how transparent data supports better decisions.
At Sekab, we have adopted ISO 14067 to provide reliable and science-based data on the climate impact of our bio-based chemicals. Our Environmental and Sustainability Engineer, Anna Olsson, explains why this matters and how the process works.

How can two chemically identical bio-based chemicals have different Product Carbon Footprints? Learn how feedstock selection, traceability and supplier evaluation influence the climate impact of the final product. Sofia Winternell, Head of Procurement and Supply Chain explains:

Transparency is about more than sharing climate data. It is also about reporting our own progress.
Our Science Based Targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), using 2021 as the base year. In 2024, we achieved our 2030 target for Scope 1 and 2 by reaching net zero emissions in our own operations six years ahead of schedule. We are now focused on reducing Scope 3 emissions across the value chain as we work towards our 2040 target.
Net zero Scope 1 and 2 (2030 target achieved six years ahead of schedule)
Reduce Scope 3 emissions by 42% (compared with 2021)
Reduce total emissions across all scopes by 90% (compared with 2021)
Scope 1 emissions are direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources that a company owns or controls, such as fuel combustion in company vehicles or onsite manufacturing.
Scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy, like electricity or steam used by the company.
Scope 3 emissions encompass all other indirect emissions across the value chain, including emissions from suppliers, transportation, product use, and disposal.
All reduction targets are measured against our 2021 base year in accordance with our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments.
