In collaboration with Statista, The Financial Times has ranked Sekab as one of Europe’s climate leaders for 2024 in its annual list, Europe’s Climate Leaders.
The list was compiled by assessing companies’ performance in reducing their Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions over a five-year period. They also consider companies’ transparency regarding Scope 3 emissions (emissions that occur elsewhere in their value chains) and collaborations with organizations assessing sustainability, such as CDP and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
– We are very proud today. This demonstrates that we are doing our part, but our biggest contribution to the transition of the European industry is to help other companies reduce their emissions. Replacing fossil chemicals with fossil-free ones is a small step that can make a huge difference, says Eva-Marie Byberg, Head of Sustainability & Outreach at Sekab.
